Eschatology is a metaphysical science. It is the method and study developed by William W. Walter of how Life, Consciousness, and Mind works.
Metaphysics is the science of cause, while physics is the science of effect. It is the science of mind, of soul, of right thought and its application to our thinking.
As with any science, it is taught progressively, so it can be thoroughly proven and understood in a step-by-step process.
Each individual student is taught to experiment daily to test and prove the laws and principles that are presented in weekly classes.

The study is presented in a step-by-step method as developed by William W. Walter and is taught singly or in small classes, guided and tutored by an accredited teacher.
It’s a progressive study, in which the metaphysical facts of Life, Consciousness, Mind are presented, starting with simple ideas that can be applied, tested and proved in daily living by each individual student. Each student is encouraged to question, reason and specifically apply what is being taught so that they can unfold the truth of life by proving this truth to and for themself.
In this way each student will unfold the understanding of their inherent truth and goodness at their own pace.

How is the Walter Method taught?
Mr. Walter left us with a set of courses and textbooks that can be applied through self-study, or by studying with a teacher. The courses start with the basic facts of Life and teach the student how to reason and apply the rules of this Science, the same as one with do in learning mathematics.
The best way to begin is to engage a competent teacher to explain and direct your efforts to understanding. There is no set period that the courses take, and this really is a lifetime study.
All of the courses are in a question-and-answer format, with time for discussion.
Classes are normally 1.5 hours and each teacher sets their own rate for teaching a class (normally $35-$50 per class).
The courses include:
The Preparatory Course
Provides a process for emptying out erroneous concepts and former beliefs. The course texts are the Common Sense Series and the Plain Talk Series.
The Primary Course
The textbook for this course is ‘The Sickle’, and its supplemental notes. This course gives information about treating physical and financial ills and relationship problems.
The ‘Sickle’ is only available for purchase after taking the Preparatory Course with an accredited teacher.
The Sharp Sickle Course
This course teaches universal cause and effect and the individual’s relation thereto. The textbook of this course is “The Sharp Sickle” and is only sold to students upon recommendation by a teacher.
The Teachers Graduate Course
This class is for advanced students who desire to become teachers of Eschatology.
Our Book Store
Mr. Walter set up a Trust in his Will to keep his books in print so they would remain available to all for help in perpetuity.
Each individual or student sets up an account, and purchases through an easy set of steps. Books are shipped within a week of purchase. Students can only purchase those books available under their type of account.
Books are available in three different formats; paper, PDF, and ePub (for e-readers such as Apple Books or Kindle). We will have audiobooks in the future.

For those finding us for the first time, you can order the beginning series, “The Plain Talks,” or “The Common Sense,” or any of Mr. Walter’s novels, which cover particular issues such as letting go of religious beliefs or drug cures.
A good start would be “The Christ Way,” or “Five Years in Christian Science.”
Who was William W. Walter?
Mr. Walter was born in 1869 and raised in Illinois, USA. In 1903, he was diagnosed with terminal tuberculosis. He investigated many cures and stated that if he could discover one that would heal him, he would devote his life to it.
His doctor told him to get his affairs in order, as he had few days to live. He had very little money at this point. His wife, Barbara, suggested that he consult with a Christian Science practitioner. For her sake, he did so. After working with the practitioner for a couple of weeks, he completely healed himself of tuberculosis. He also healed his eyesight and never wore glasses after that point.
With what he knew of Christian Science, he began to help others heal illnesses and financial troubles. After several years in the Science Church, he tried to show others that it was a science, not a religion. He was prevented from writing his own books and finally stopped attending the Church.
He continued to set up his method of teaching through courses, and he continued to help with healing work. He wrote “Five Years in Christian Science” book to document his journey.
His healing work gained him much notice, and he had teachers and students from the United States, Europe, South Africa, and Australia.
Mr. Walter’s legacy is being carried on through his teaching method and his books, which are available for purchase on this website. He passed away in 1941.
